The "Champions in the Making: In-House Poomsae Championship 2024" is a meticulously designed program aimed at providing students with a comprehensive experience in Taekwondo poomsae. The championship spans over several months, ensuring that each participant is well-prepared and confident when it comes time for the final competition.
The program begins with a month-long registration period, where students from ATSA have the opportunity to enroll in the competition. This phase ensures that all interested students are registered and ready to begin their journey toward mastery in poomsae.
Throughout August, students engage in structured training sessions. These sessions are designed to refine their poomsae techniques, enhance their physical conditioning, and build the mental resilience required for competition. Each week, students attend practice sessions that focus on both basic and advanced poomsae movements. Additionally, online resources are provided for students to practice at their convenience, allowing them to supplement their in-person training.
Before the final competition, a mock competition is held at ATSA Alamesra. This event is essential for students to experience the competition flow in a real-time setting. Divided by belt categories, students perform their poomsae, receive immediate feedback, and get a glimpse of what to expect during the actual championship.
